Hailing from the east side of Anchorage trailer park in Alaska, Curtis Vodka started djing and making rap beats in middle school. Catching a bit of a buzz online by high school, Curtis released music and began dj'ing outside of Alaska.
Homeless Funk was made while Curtis was still in High School. Heavily influenced by the “cut & paste” style of producers like DJ Shadow, Curtis dug deeper into his record crates to find original sounds to throw together. A straight b-boy classic guaranteed sure shot.
Jazzy Drummer came before, once Curtis obtained his MPC60, practicing on pads making many loops. A fresh take on one of the most infamous breaks of all time.
After almost two decades, both tracks finally get a proper release on wax.

Hushed and low-key songs that sit between instrumental soul and library music, creating absorbing, atmospheric vibes. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 1, 2020
Had to grab the digitals alongside the 7" that's already garnering high position in my tracks of 2023 - A side is an absolute funky banger but don't sleep on the flip side - clever use of the sample & classic R&B staple that delivers dance floor carnage. Sam Tweaks
